An announcement!

I’m excited to finally share a project I’ve been working on since last summer.

Enter By Olivia Adams, a website and shop focused on creating joy every day. 

This website is a hybrid of handmade products, personal essays and blog posts about creative projects, work, life and the moments in between. I enjoy creating both through words and a paintbrush. This is a creative hub for capturing what inspires me, and I hope this space inspires you too! 

Last June I created an Etsy shop but never shared it with the world. Now in a world pandemic, I’m finally getting around to launching it!

It might feel a little scary launching something into the world — like going to a hip hop class all by yourself — but it’s likely you’ll be glad you did it. It’s good to stretch those courage muscles every once in a while.

So how did this all get started? Hand lettering has been a hobby for about four or five years now. It’s something I picked up to take my eyes away from the screen. Over a year ago, I picked up a paintbrush for the first time since high school and fell back in love with watercolors. I’ve also had the itch to get back to creative writing (I’ve blogged on and off for almost a decade) and wanted a new space to share some words.

The Etsy shop was inspired by two of my best friends. About a year ago, one friend requested a hand-lettered doormat for her new home and the other commissioned custom menus and cards for her wedding. I was so honored! Their encouragement and support ignited a new fire in me. I wouldn’t be here today without them cheering me along the way and reviewing all my projects via group text. :) I’m so grateful for those ladies.

I’m really excited to finally do this and share my art and words with you. As someone who could keep waiting forever until everything is just right, I will leave you with a quote that gives me motivation to launch projects into the world.
